Oxylabs sells enterprise-grade proxy infrastructure through a sales-led motion, with compliance certification and account management as the headline features rather than price. It is the vendor procurement departments tend to approve without argument.

Where Oxylabs sits in the verified market

Across the 12 providers whose residential pricing we have verified, Oxylabs’s entry rate of $6.00/GB ranks 11th cheapest, and its best published tier reaches $2.50/GB (1 TB, $2,500/mo). That entry rate sits 71% above the verified market median of $3.50/GB. Lower figures are advertised — ProxyEmpire markets rates from $0.75/GB — but those are starting or promotional rates whose conditions the provider does not publish, which is why we do not treat them as the floor.

Cheaper verified residential rates than Oxylabs’s best tier currently come from ProxyEmpire at $0.75/GB, Proxy-Cheap at $0.78/GB, DataImpulse at $1.00/GB. That is a price comparison, not a quality ranking — we publish no performance benchmarks yet, and say so rather than imply otherwise.

How the pricing is structured

Bandwidth is billed per gigabyte across 4 verified plans, and the spread between the entry plan and the best published plan is 2.4× — volume commitment is the single biggest lever on what you actually pay. Products with verified pricing here: residential.

What to know before you buy

Residential now has a published ladder: $6.00/GB on the 5 GB Starter plan ($30/mo), $5.00/GB at 20 GB, $4.00/GB at 125 GB and $2.50/GB at 1 TB ($2,500/mo). Its other products still show starting prices only: ISP from $16/IP, mobile from $7.50/GB, SOCKS5 from $8/GB. Above 1 TB, what you pay comes out of a conversation.

Who it fits

Oxylabs makes sense if you are buying with legal review, need contractual assurances and an account manager, and volume gives you negotiating room.

Look elsewhere if you want to size a budget today without talking to anyone. Several verified providers publish ladders that start well below its $6.00/GB entry rate.

Is Oxylabs legit? What we can verify, and what we can’t

What we verified ourselves: we read its residential plan ladder from its live pricing page (2026-10-02; its other products show starting prices only); it operates a public partner programme with published terms (verified 2026-08-06), which requires payment infrastructure, tax handling and a business entity behind it; confirm the rate at its own checkout before you commit.

What we have not verified: Oxylabs’ success rates, pool quality, support responsiveness, or refund behaviour in practice. Nobody publishes independently audited numbers for those — including the review sites that quote precise success percentages. Our benchmark panel is on the methodology roadmap; until it ships we say “unmeasured” rather than guess.

Checking Oxylabs’ reputation yourself: read its Trustpilot profile and recent Reddit threads (r/proxies and related subreddits) with the standard filters — discount review bursts around promotions, weight detailed complaints about billing and refunds over star averages, and look for how the company responds to problems rather than whether problems exist. Then run the cheapest possible test against your own targets before committing real budget; no third-party opinion substitutes for that.

The sourcing question: residential proxy networks route traffic through real devices, and how a provider obtains consent from those households is the industry’s biggest legitimacy variable. This stopped being theoretical in July 2026 when the FBI seized domains of NetNut, a major provider, in an action coordinated with Google, whose threat-intelligence team describes NetNut as a residential proxy network also known as Popa (Krebs on Security; parent company Alarum said it was cooperating with law enforcement and paused the affected network services, and we found no public announcement of charges as of 2 October 2026 — see our botnet & takedown timeline). Prefer providers that document their sourcing, and treat silence on the question as information.

What we have not verified

We have verified residential pricing (four plans, 2026-10-02). For ISP, datacenter and mobile we have only the starting prices shown on its overview page. Those rates appear once we have read them from the live page.

Trial length, refund window and payment methods are marked pending until we confirm them by signing up — we do not copy terms from other review sites.

We publish no success-rate or speed benchmark for any provider yet. The testing panel is on the methodology roadmap; until it exists, any site quoting precise success percentages for every provider is either running a real lab or making it up.

Price history

Baseline recorded 2026-08-07. Every subsequent change to Oxylabs’s published pricing is logged here and in the changelog with the date we caught it, which is the point of this site: the current price is easy to find, the trend is not.

FAQ

How much does Oxylabs cost?

Verified 2026-10-02: residential bandwidth from $6.00/GB on the 5 GB Starter plan down to $2.50/GB on the 1 TB Corporate plan. Full tier detail, including any per-IP products, is in the table above with its source URL.

Is Oxylabs cheaper than other providers?

Its best published residential rate ($2.50/GB, on the 1 TB plan) is 2.5 times the cheapest verified rate in our dataset ($1.00/GB from DataImpulse). Cheaper is not automatically better: pool quality and success rates differ, and we do not yet publish benchmarks for either.

Does Oxylabs offer a free trial?

Trial and refund terms are marked pending on this profile until we confirm them by signing up. We do not copy trial claims from other review sites, because those are frequently out of date.

Is Oxylabs legit?

Oxylabs is an established commercial operation: it publishes a residential plan ladder, public terms and a partner programme. What no one has independently verified — here or elsewhere — is performance. Check its Trustpilot and recent Reddit threads for reputation, then test small against your own targets; that beats any review site’s verdict, including ours.

Is using a proxy legal?

Yes — buying and using Oxylabs’s proxies is legal in the US and EU. Proxies are ordinary network infrastructure used for ad verification, price monitoring and research. Legal risk comes from what you do through them: bypassing authentication, violating a target site’s terms at scale, or handling personal data unlawfully. The proxy provider’s own conduct is a separate question — see the sourcing note above.

Who is the CEO of Oxylabs?

We don’t republish corporate details — where a company is based or headquartered, its CEO or founder, its valuation — unless verified from primary sources, and comparison-site bios rot fast. The company’s own site, national business registry or filings answer in five minutes and stay current; that beats any aggregator, including us.

Is Oxylabs worth it?

‘Worth it’ is a volume question, not a brand question. Oxylabs’s verified rates ($2.50–$6.00/GB) price it at the premium end of the 12 providers we verify. It earns that premium when you need what it uniquely sells — see the verdict sections above — and wastes money when a cheaper verified provider covers your targets. Run the smallest paid test on your own workload before deciding; that answer beats anyone’s review.

Is using a proxy legal?

Using proxies — residential included — is legal in the US and EU; they are ordinary infrastructure for ad verification, price monitoring and research. Legal exposure comes from conduct: bypassing authentication, breaching a target’s terms at commercial scale, or mishandling personal data. Provider-side risk is about IP sourcing consent, which the July 2026 NetNut seizure made concrete.

What is the cheapest alternative to Oxylabs?

On verified residential rates, DataImpulse at $1.00/GB is the price floor in our dataset. See the full comparison on the pricing matrix.
